The Stakeholder Core, led by Shelley Brundage, aims to integrate stakeholder perspectives into Cores and Programs and support the recruitment of older minorities. This Core will provide feedback on planned research, develop summaries, present at conferences, coauthor manuscripts and share study findings with their networks. The goal of the Core is to fill the need for bidirectional translations to and from the lab to clinics and communities and reciprocal interactions to engage communities and formulate research with relevance for researchers and affected communities.
Dr. Brundage is a professor in the Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences Department at George Washington University. She joined the Georgetown Breast Cancer Advocates (GBCA) in 2009 to share her skills in order to advocate for excellence in breast cancer research and education.
